Delhites are well aware of the significance of street shopping. Especially jewellery lovers. They would happily travel to another planet in search of pretty and affordable jewellery. And no matter how many malls are built, we all know street shopping is unbeatable irrespective of the weather, crowd, and the endless bargaining.
There are a few places in Delhi that are a “MUST VISIT” when it come to shopping and jewellery shopping in specific. Take a look.
Dariba Kalan, Chandni Chowk
A paradise in itself! Dariba kalan is a lane with a number of silver shops selling rose rings, rings toe rings, bangles and earrings and jhumkas for all your statement appearances. This just CAN NOT BE MISSED!
Janpath Market, Connaught place
This is a hub. You name it and you’ll find it. Yes, maybe the first copies, but don’t be surprised to find Huda Beauty and MAC products too at really throw away prices.
Central Market, Lajpat Nagar
You will be able to find the jewellery you could possibly pair up with your next Sangeet and mehendi outfit. You’ll find Them all – bangles chandbalis and maangtikkas very easily. You’ll have to bargain your brains out – goes without saying. But this trip will be fulfilling and worthwhile.
Greater Kailash-1 M-Block Market
Unlike the other markets on the list, this is quite a posh area with a number of designer showrooms, plenty of eateries and a very good crowd. You will be able to find duplicate products here too but at not very cheap rates since they’re supposed to maintain the market image.
This place caters primarily to tourists which is why the prices here would be steep even though its unlikely to find anything quite unique. The bargain bit too is not so easy because of its target audience. But its overall a very cute place with different cuisines from all over the country. Worth a visit.
